Are you struggling to stay motivated? Don’t worry if you are – this is super normal….especially for entrepreneurs because we have to be really good at self-motivation. These are my top 5 tips for firing up the motivation whenever you feel it slipping away:
Tip #1: Know what motivates you. Be aware of when you’re most excited. If other people talking about their goals and supporting you offer huge motivation, then you’ll thrive in a group coaching or mastermind environment. If you are motivated by empowering others, then you’ll know that writing more blog posts or sharing more empowering things on social media will motivate you to get those results.
Tip #2: Pull out your “why” video. Create a why video where you pour your heart out telling the camera why you want to build your business (or workout, or keep your relationship alive – whatever you like). Nothing will kick you in the pants like watching yourself rooting you on.
Tip #3: Avoid burnout. We get ideas, get excited, and then run 100mph toward them….But then we get tired and crash. We beat ourselves up for not doing more. Then we do even less and have to start that momentum all over again. Remember, you’re in it to win it long-term. So make a schedule that you can stick to and realize that if you just follow that schedule, you’ll meet your goals in perfect time.
Tip #4: Celebrate your small wins. Think you need to have massive results to celebrate or feel good about yourself? Where’s the joy in that!? Get excited about the small stuff – publishing a blog post, writing a chapter of your book, you name it.
Tip #5: Surround yourself with people who motivate you. Enjoy people who excite you to take action. Ask them to motivate you when you’re feeling sluggish or not good enough.
You have ALL the tools to be motivated and hugely successful. Sometimes, you’ll hold yourself back….which is VERY natural. When you practice implementing these tips, you’ll get better and better at managing your mindset. I hope you’ll try this! Comment below and let me know how it works!
