I just got back from California (check out the trip here) where I took Clay on a pretty outstanding trip for Spring Break. Just the two of us – it’s always my favorite time. We did it all… the flower fields, Legoland, date nights, sandcastles on the beach, cannonballs in the pool, walks, talks, giggles, dreaming, and gratitude. Among other things, it got me thinking of NGNG as being like the ocean…
(Just go with me on this – I promise it makes sense, lol!)
You see, one of my greatest strengths is my ability to observe what’s going on around me and then take that information and use it to provide the thing that’s most needed at that moment.
For example, I observed the start of a huge surge of book launches across social media in early 2020. After seeing tons of entrepreneurs across many industries in need of tools, support, and guidance to help launch their books powerfully, I sprung into action because I knew I had the skills to be of service to them…
…And just like that, NGNG took the book launch world by storm. We had a visible and trackable impact in the industry which we will continue to nurture and honor.
More recently, I’ve observed that tremendous book launch wave receding. Don’t get me wrong, book launches are constant, but as the world came out of lockdown, people got busy and therefore books stopped popping up like non-stop fireworks. I’d say the beat shifted to a normal frequency – the pace I saw the decade prior to 2020. Books will always rule and anyone trying to say otherwise is monetizing off of a short-term but valid moment to shift focus to other digital platforms.
In its place, a new wave of businesses needing help aligning their marketing and sales strategies has rolled in. We are armed, ready, and rising above a lot of the fear and uncertainty we hear around us.
Big shifts like these can cause a LOT of people to feel uncomfortable or even scared (which is totally understandable and normal!!)…but that just isn’t the case for me.
Why?
Because whether I’m directing a book launch or creating a website wireframe, my goal is always to be of service to the moment that’s unfolding in front of me with whoever is there, whatever the circumstances.
That’s what makes me end each day feeling deeply fulfilled. I truly believe my life’s purpose is to help people to feel seen, heard, and valued…so whenever and wherever I’m needed, I’m there.
So although the ocean is constantly shifting and waves come and go, the ocean floor beneath those waves stays steady – and it’s the same for NGNG.
The services NGNG offers might shift to meet the needs I’ve observed from our community in that particular moment or season, but our “WHY” of being of service and our mission to elevate every experience always provides the foundation for what’s to come. 🙂
Spring is finally here, which means a lot of welcome changes are on the horizon (blooming flowers! warm weather!), and it’s highly likely that there are changes happening in your business/professional life, too…
What would happen if you chose to view those changes as a welcome opportunity to be of service instead of something to fear?
I invite you to reflect on that question, then click here and let me know what came up for you. I’d looove to know!
