The Year of Efficiency

Do you ever feel like you’re drowning in work, like there just aren’t enough hours in the day to get everything done?

I know I have in the past ( ), and I think it’s safe to say that we’ve all had that experience at some point…

In November I onboarded a new client who is literally “obsessed with operational efficiency”. His name is Nick Sonnenberg and his company is called Leverage. I’d met Nick 10 or so years prior, and all I really knew about him is that he had a stellar reputation and he was serious about success.

What I would learn in the next 3 months of onboarding him to direct his book launch… I never could have imagined in my wildest dreams.

Come Up For Air: A Courageous Approach to Conquering Work Overload

Nick’s book (which launches today) is called Come Up For Air: How Teams Can Leverage Systems and Tools to Stop Drowning in Work.

Being on the team, I got an advanced copy and started reading it right away. That week, I required my team to read the book in full.

Why?

Because the thing is, a lack of efficiency in a company’s organization and communication leads to dissatisfaction and distrust. You’re constantly on a scavenger hunt to find the information you need, you’re stuck doing “work about work” (like replying to endless emails), and just feel like you’re drowning in day-to-day tasks instead of focusing on what actually matters.

But when tools and systems are used in the best way possible, they act as a life preserver to help you stop drowning in work by creating a more stable work environment

You’re less stressed because you know exactly where information is stored so you can retrieve it easily, your email inbox is no longer a black hole that sucks up all your time, and you free up an extra business day each week to work on what’s most important to you.

I deeply value my team and will do everything in my power to make sure they’re protected from burnout and stress (and the looming recession…). And I know you feel the same way.

Efficiency Can Help You Thrive

The best protection we can provide is improving our efficiency (there’s a reason why Mark Zuckerberg declared 2023 the “year of efficiency” last week!) – and the strategies Nick shares in Come Up For Air are how we get there. 🙂

Today, I invite you to head to www.comeupforair.com (my favorite book sales page we’ve ever built!) to purchase a copy of this powerful book.

Will you join NGNG, Meta, and others in making this year the year of efficiency for your organization? Let me know by clicking here. I’d love to hear from you!
